Rabindra Sondhya and AGM – 2019

We had the Annual General Meeting for the year 2019-20 on 26th May’19 at the Auditorium of Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts. On behalf of AIKATAN I thank each and every members who were present for their active participation in the meeting.

The second part of the Evening was celebrated with the Cultural Programme by paying rich tribute to our National Poet Kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore

Program

  1. Inaugural Rabindrasangeet by our Club Members
  2. Recitation of a Poem of Tagore by one of our Club member
  3. Dance Drama based on the poem of Rabindranath Tagore AVISAR by our Tiny Kids
  4. A musical programme “SURGULI PAY CHORON” based on Rabindrasangeet performed by our Club Members.

Annual General Body Meeting

he Meeting started with the President of the club Mr Gautam Mridha addressing the members on the year which had ended thanking each and every members for their support received during the year.

The General Secretary of the Club spoke in details about all the events which took place during the year 2018-19. He further requested the members to plan and focus on the preparations which need to be taken for the 10th year of Durga Puja in 2020. The following immediate decisions which are required to be taken during this year were stressed upon.

  1. To finalize the Priest for Durga Puja
  2. Exploring the options to find out a new Electrical and Decoration / Pandal Contractor  
  3. To brainstorm as to how we would like to go in for 10th year of Durga Puja

The Treasurer of the Club Mr. Prabir Dutta presented the results of the Audited Accounts for the year 2018-19 giving the financial position of the club as on date. He stressed upon the judicious usage of funds in the coming days as we need to generate funds for the 10th Year.

The President, General Secretary and Treasurer highlighted on the  visions which our beloved Chairman Saha da had thought for our Club and requested the members to be more collaborative in the family of AIKATAN.

The outgoing President of the Club declared the New Committee will comprise of President, General Secretary, Treasurer and Four Core Committees in the different areas. Each of the Core Committee will have one convener and the members. Based on the nominations and recommendations which were received by him. The names of the Members of the Four Core Committee were also announced.

The Meeting ended with the outgoing President congratulating all the new members of the Committee. Tea which were arranged by our Members were served to the members during the evening.
