Aikatan / ঐকতান

Aikatan means ‘Harmony’. It was established in 1983, by the Probashi Bengali of south-west Bangalore. The motivation was to promote interaction amongst the members. The formation coincided with India winning its first Cricket World Cup.

Over a period of time, the Club Aikatan grew into a bigger association, thereby celebrating ‘Saraswati Pujo’ every year along with arranging outings and many Cultural Events.

In the year 2011, the Club ventured into celebrating its first Durga Puja, the most glorious of all Bengali festivals. Interestingly, this decision coincided with India winning its second cricket world cup.
