So, what are the events that you organize every year?

Under normal circumstances we have the following events in a year:

Annual General Meeting(along with other function like Rabindra Jayanti or Poila Baishak), Indoor Games, Annual Picnic, Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja, Sports Day and Saraswati Puja.

What about this year?

This year we would be organizing all the 8 above said events as per the dates(tentative) given below.

1. Noboborsho celebration and AGM (17th April – 2022)
2. Indoor Games Tournament (19th June – 2022)
3. Annual Picnic (21st August – 2022)
4. Durga Puja (30th September to 5th October – 2022)
5. Lakshmi Puja (9th October – 2022)
6. Kali Puja (24th October – 2022)
7. Annual Sports Day (December 2022/January 2023)
8. Saraswati Puja and AGM (26th January – 2023)

Who can become a volunteer?

Any member interested in helping the Purohit conduct the Pujo can become a volunteer and become a member of the Pujo committee. However, it has to be done by the specified closing date.

If I am not a volunteer then how will I offer Puja?

Any member who wishes to offer Puja can pass on the details of his/her family (name, gotra etc.) to the Puja committee who will offer the Puja on his/her behalf. Any pronami for the Purohit can be transferred online and we will hand over the amount to our Purohit.

What about Pushpanjali?

Pushpanjali will be in person this year as we are performing the Durga Puja outside at a larger scaled up manner. Guidelines about what you need to do at your end will be made available in due course.

What about lighting lamps during Sandhi Puja?

The lighting of lamps during Sandhi Puja will be done by the volunteers on behalf of the interested members.

What about Bhog and Prasad?

We are making arrangement for packed Bhog / Prasad from Saptami to Dashami, which members will have to book in advance and collect from a designated pickup point.

Who can perform in a cultural program?

Only members and their family is allowed to perform in cultural program as well as any competition. This restriction has always been there.

What is the validity of the membership?

The membership subscription is to be paid annually and is valid for one financial year. So, if you become a member now, it will be valid till end of March 2021.

How many members do you have?

At the end of August, 2022, the membership count is 130+. Majority of them are in RR Nagar, Kengeri, Nagarbhavi, Chandra Layout and the area around these localities.

Do you have an office?

No, we do not have any premise of our own. All the major events are organized at hired facilities. Meetings are either online or hosted by individual members.
